How We Collect Personal Information

“Personal information” includes any type of data or information created, received, stored, or transmitted in the performance of our business, regardless of physical format, that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a specific consumer or household. Personal information does not include aggregated consumer information that cannot be reasonably linked with a specific consumer or household.

We and our marketing partners and Affiliates collect personal information (hereinafter “data,” “information,” or “personal information”) in several different ways. We collect information from you directly when you register on our Site and provide us identifying information such as your name, email, address, date of birth and gender. We also use automatic data collection by technological means such as cookies to collect information about the type of device and browser you are using, where you were browsing before you arrived at our Site, your IP address and—if you are on a mobile device—which carrier you use. This information may be supplemented or verified by additional information that we obtain from third party services such as data brokers who collect and sell personal information for marketing and other cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

Information that is collected automatically does not identify you directly, but we link it to the other personal information about you that we hold that can identify you.

Sensitive Personal Information

In certain limited cases we collect “Sensitive Personal Information,” which could include data related to your health or citizenship status. We collect this data only where it is directly relevant to a particular offer, and where we do so we will present you with a separate consent related to this data collection, which you may choose not to give. We also indirectly collect, via automatic data collection (e.g., cookies), data about your visits to web pages, which can indicate your interest in sensitive categories or membership in a sensitive group. For example, if you visit a page that is targeted to a specific ethnicity, or which gives information about a particular health condition, we may infer that you are interested in those topics. If your state or local laws prohibit the collection of Sensitive Personal Information without your consent, we will not make sensitive inferences. We do not collect or use any personal information relating to children under 18.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the personal information that we collect from or about you to:

Transfers And Sales Of Personal Information To Third Parties

We allow advertising companies, marketing partners and our Affiliates, etc. (“third parties”) to place advertisements on our Site, some of which allow those third parties to collect personal information about you. We also transfer personal information that we have collected from you to other advertising companies, marketing partners, and our Affiliates. These transfers constitute sales of data because our third party partners may store and use it for their own purposes and may also share it with other entities. When we disclose personal information to third parties, we enter a contract that describes the purpose for which that personal information is disclosed and requires the recipient to comply with all applicable privacy laws.

When you sign up to receive job alerts and other relevant third-party offers through this Site, and consent to our disclosing your information, that information will be used by these third parties for the purposes of delivering those job alerts and other relevant third-party offers via email and/or SMS. In order to opt-out from continued marketing from these third-parties, please reply directly to the messages you receive with “STOP”.

We also partner with third parties that collect information across various channels, including offline and online, for purposes of delivering more relevant advertising to you or your business. Our partners may place or recognize a cookie on your computer, device, or directly in our emails/communications, and we may share or sell personal information that we have collected with them. Our partners may link the personal information we share with them to the cookie stored on your browser or device, and they may collect information such as your IP address, browser or operating system type and version, and demographic or inferred-interest information. Our partners use this information to recognize you across different channels and platforms, including but not limited to, computers, mobile devices, over time for cross-context behavioral advertising (including addressable TV), analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes.

We may also disclose your personal information to a buyer or other business successor, whether as a going concern or as part of a bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us about you is among the assets transferred to effectuate a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets.

Finally, in some cases we may disclose your personal information to law enforcement, regulators, judicial authorities, other government entities, or other third parties to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any governmental or regulatory request; to protect the rights, freedoms, or safety of any person; and/or to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements, including, if applicable, for billing and collection purposes.

When we disclose personal information to third parties, we enter into a contract that describes the purpose for which that personal information is disclosed and requires the recipient to comply with all applicable privacy laws.

Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising

Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising enables us and our marketing partners and Affiliates to deliver to you more relevant information and offers for products or services. We and our third party marketing partners and Affiliates use cookies, web beacons and other technological means on your computer, device, or directly in our emails/communications to track your online behavior and to collect information. In either case, identifying you and your past online behavior enables the tailoring of targeted offers and advertisements. We may sell this and other information to our third-party marketing partners or share it with our Affiliates and may be compensated for doing so.

Third Party Analytics

We use Google Analytics and similar tools provided by our third-party partners to help analyze how you interact with the Site and display customized ads and other content to you during a current browsing session or in the future when you are online. These analytics are performed by using the technological means described above to monitor your interactions with the Site.

Other Web Sites; Links

We and our Affiliates and marketing partners may advertise and promote the Site and we may permit our marketing partners to place ads and other content, including links to other websites, on the Site. This Privacy Policy and our privacy practices do not extend to and may differ from those of third-party websites that can be accessed through links on this Site. You should review the applicable privacy policies of all websites before registering with, or providing information to them.

Children Under the Age of 18

The Site is intended to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and other applicable privacy laws. The Site is not intended for children under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect or use personal information from children under the age of 18. If we discover personal information from a child under the age of 18, we will eliminate that data.

By using the Site, you agree to provide us with accurate information concerning your age or identity if we request it. You also agree not to assist children under the age of 18 in accessing the Site or to attempt to contact children under 18 through the Site. You may not use this Site if you are under 18. Non-US Residents

The Site is not intended for persons not resident in the United States. Our Site is based in the United States and all personal information we collect will be processed in the United States. We use filters that are designed to prevent non-US residents from accessing the Site.

Voice and SMS Marketing and The Telephone Consumer Protection Act

We may seek your consent to receive telemarketing calls and/or text (SMS) messages from us, our Affiliates and marketing partners in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) and its regulations. If you provide your prior express written consent via your electronic signature for telemarketing and SMS marketing, even if your mobile or landline telephone number is listed on the federal or a State’s Do-Not-Call Registry, you are expressly consenting to: (a) receive telemarketing calls, text (SMS) messages, and any other means of communication that your wireless device may be capable of receiving (e.g. MMS, video etc. ) from the persons, including marketing partners, identified in the consent and/or this Privacy Policy (including through the use of automated dialing equipment or an artificial or prerecorded voice); and (b) receive future information about products and services from us, our marketing partners, Affiliates and other third parties to whom we may provide your Information via other means such as email. You may revoke your consent to be contacted in this manner by any reasonable means at any time (see the Opting-Out section below).

Merely accessing our Site without providing your express written consent for TCPA purposes does not constitute your consent to receive telemarketing calls.

Your Rights and Choice

• To opt out of us selling or sharing your data with third parties;

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us:

Only you or a person that you properly authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. The verifiable consumer request must:

1. Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative.
2. Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us, but may include an email verification process. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.

You may be able to disable cookies, web beacons and some other tracking technologies placed by us and/or our Affiliates and third party partners by adjusting your browser or email client settings. You may also opt-out from the collection of online viewing data for analytics purposes performed by Google Analytics by going to Ad Settings under your Google account. As noted above, we use cookies or web beacons to track your online behavior and may identify you by your email address or other means and will use these methods to tailor your experience on our Site if you visit our Site or one of our Affiliate’s sites in the future.

You may revoke your consent to receive telemarketing calls from us by emailing support@localjobmatching.com and indicating that you do not want to receive any further telemarketing from us.

You may also opt out from the collection of online viewing data for behavioral advertising purposes by companies who have elected to participate in one of the behavioral advertising opt-out mechanisms such as the Digital Adverting Alliance’s opt-out program located at https://www.aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative at https://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control (“GPC”)

We do not currently process browser-based “Do Not Track” signals, largely because they are not currently supported by the most popular browsers that are used by the vast majority of visitors. Because of its limited deployment on popular browsers at this time, our Site does not currently recognize the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), but we will do so in the future when GPC becomes more widely available on popular browsers. Please note, however, that this only applies to personal information that is collected on this Site.

Response Timing and Format

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to ninety (90) days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you have an account with us, we will deliver our written response to that account. If you do not have an account with us, we will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the twelve (12) -month period preceding the verifiable consumer request’s receipt. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights, meaning that we will not:

1. Deny you goods or services.
2. Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties.
3. Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services.
4. Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

Security of Your Information

We use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, or accidental loss or destruction of your personal information. We cannot guarantee, however, that our security measures or those of our Affiliates or third parties who access or transmit your information will prevent your information from being illegally accessed, stolen or altered.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post the revised Policy here. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address you provided) or by means of a notice on this Site prior to the change becoming effective. As we may make changes at any time without notifying you, we suggest that you periodically consult this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Site after the changes are posted constitutes your agreement to the changes, both with regard to information we have previously collected from you and with regard to information we collect from you in the future.
